If color is a daily volume need, you should be looking at production-grade color devices or a managed print service, not a desktop all-in-one.

If you have multiple sites and no on-site IT, a managed print contract may make sense even when the per-page cost looks higher, because the support burden becomes someone else’s problem. And if your office genuinely prints a few hundred pages a month or less, then honestly, you might not need a laser at all—a low-end inkjet can do the same job for a fraction of the upfront cost. I used to dismiss inkjets out of habit, a bias I’ve since unlearned.

One more thing the spreadsheet can’t capture: Brother has never made us feel like a small account. I’ve dealt with vendors who ghosted us once they realized our order size.
